Client Problem: Due to acquisitions, a multi-regional telecommunications company was not easily able to determine key corporate metrics and performance due to disparate systems, billing practices, and regulatory constraints. The company required a single reporting and management capability to enable adept and nimble decision-making.
Natoma Solution: Natoma was selected to develop strategic BI roadmaps and to implement prioritized key performance indicators in a new BI dashboard solution. This project transformed the company’s financial, subscriber, and sales revenue data into a data warehouse and data cube, using Oracle's Warehouse Builder and Hyperion reporting and analysis software. This project reviewed the company’s overall data and system architecture, assessed executive business decision gaps, and created a business case to substantiate implementation of an enterprise BI initiative for the company. Implementation efforts were executed in short 100-day sprints—allowing the BI solution to grow and evolved with the organization.
Results: The BI solution allowed company executives to see near real-time strategic, tactical, and operational performance results from a consolidated and consistent single point of reference. This resulted in improved operational efficiencies, more nimble product packaging, and increased profit margins.
